Personal website
Personal website for one of Warsaw’s English teacher.
About Project
Personal branding (including online presence) is essential in today’s digital world. Jakub Adam Kałus, the owner of the British Study Centre, asked me to create his first Personal Website.
Business value
It is the company’s first website, which was supposed to have only promotional value. The company owner did not expect the IT product to increase economic profits. The website was only intended to improve his business processes and business value:
improve contact with clients
improve the presentation of the company’s offer
improve the booking of appointments with clients
Therefore, I instructed the owner of the company to develop an MVP to test his first online service and collect customers’ feedback on the new product. Thanks to that, in the next step, together with BSC, we were to start implementing a more extensive version of the system.
Goals
Due to the need to implement the MVP, I instructed the owner of the company to implement the website with ready-made market solutions such as:
Using CMS WordPress
We resigned from using professional IT services of external companies. Thanks to the ready-made CMS solution, all content changes or graphic changes could be done by the business owner himself.Using the free WordPress Theme
To quickly build a graphical user interface (GUI), I used the free Authentica theme from a Serbian company Themes Kingdom. The Themes Kingdom is, in my opinion, one of the best responsive, minimalist WordPress themes that exist on the market!Using an off-the-shelf online booking system from an external supplier
To book and pay for online meetings, I used an off-the-shelf solution from Bookero. This company provides a WordPress plugin and an external system for managing bookings. This booking system is a great technological solution of a Polish company that costs as much as a cup of coffee a month!
